- New this year; BUY CALF NOW!-
Buy Calf Now will be a new option for this year at The Cattle CO
for The Elite Event Sale. This option is very similar to the other
online buy it now options on auction websites that you currently may use
all of the time. In The Elite Event sale, once the buy it now
prices are listed online, all buyers have the option to look at the
calves online or in person and pay the buy it now price on that calf.
Buy calf now means just that on the majority of cattle in the sale.
You will buy the calf at the price listed, pay for the calf right away,
and take it home right away. This is a great option for many
people that may not like private treaty bid sales, or want a calf to
take home with them. You can bring your trailer and leave with a
calf! The BUY CALF NOW price ends when the initial bids are due in
at 6pm Sunday August 30th. At this time, all calves that haven't
been purchased using the buy it now option will be bid off as usual
using the private treaty sale method used in the past. There are a
couple calves in the sale where the buy calf now option can still work,
but the calves will need to stay owned by the consignor until the
conclusion of the county fair they are attending. On these calves,
no money or ownership will change hands until the date noted on the calf
page/bid sheet.
-Bidding for all calves are as follows:
The sale is a private treaty bid sale. There is one base
price for all calves. If the calf hasn't been bid on yet, you may be in at the
base. There will be a bid board online as well as at the sale
site. These will be kept up to date as time allows, however, if
you choose to be interested on a calf, ask the price either in person or
on the phone to make sure. At 6:00pm on Sunday, all initial bids
will cease and all alternates will need to be turned in. At this
time we will bid the calves off as quickly as time allows. We will
be courteous and try our best to get people called and wait for them to
call back, however, we do reserve the right to skip or eliminate a
person from bidding if they do not answer the phone or do not call back
in a timely manner!
-Bidding increments are a $100 minimum up to $3000;
$250 minimum after that- |

| - Alternate calf
numbers are allowed in case you drop out on your first choice.
These calf numbers must be turned in, however, by the close of the sale
Sunday evening! |

You do not need to be present to bid, all bidding will be done over the
phone for privacy reasons. Many buyers do not want the world to
know where they buy their calves. |

| -Calves will be
bid off as quickly as time allows. Please be easily accessible by
the phone number you provide us. |

| - Cattle may be
viewed by appointment prior to the sale date or at the farms on the
directions
page anytime August 29th and 30th |

| -A
purchase agreement will be mailed to each buyer following the sale. TEN
PERCENT is
required down within one week of the sale and the purchase
agreement must be signed immediately after the conclusion of the sale.
The Cattle CO reserves the right to refuse bid acceptance. Failure to
honor purchase contract will result in legal action. |

| -Calves may be
picked up anytime, but NO LATER than the end of September. Payment in
full is due at this time. If the calf is not paid for in full the
last day in September, it will be considered for sale and the elite
event sale buyer will lose all down payment money. They will also
be added to a public poor customer list. NOTE: We are in the
business of selling cattle to good customers and making those customers
happy. If you do not have the funds to purchase a calf, please do
not keep bidding on the calf. We are not a bank and will not
finance you while you show the calf. No cattle will leave the
premises unless paid in full and the funds have cleared. Sorry if
this is a problem for anyone, we have changed our policy out of
neccessity. Payment may be made by CASH, PERSONAL CHECK, or WIRED
INTO OUR ACCOUNT. |
